Who this applies to
This policy covers personal information handled by Paparazzi Kitchen, an Ottawa, Ontario cooked-food and catering business, through this website and our ordering process. Contact us at contactpaparazzikitchen@gmail.com or 613-302-0413.
What we collect
- Contact details — name, email address and phone number.
- Order and event details — dishes and quantities, pickup or delivery choice, delivery address, requested date and time, occasion, guest count, and any notes you give us (including dietary or allergy information you choose to share).
- Catering enquiry details — event type, preferred dishes, and quote correspondence.
- Account and profile data — if you create an optional customer account: your sign-in email, and saved name, phone and address for faster checkout, plus your order history.
- Payment status and reference metadata — whether an order is unpaid, deposit-paid or paid in full, the amount, and a payment reference from our payment processor.
- Technical and security data — the limited log and security information reasonably needed to operate the site, keep it available and prevent abuse.
What we do not collect
We do not receive or store your raw card numbers. Card details are entered directly into Stripe's secure checkout and are handled by Stripe, not by us.
Why we use it
- To prepare and fulfil your order and coordinate pickup or delivery.
- To prepare and discuss catering quotes.
- To operate optional customer accounts and show your order history.
- To take payment and reconcile payments against orders.
- To provide customer service and respond to your messages.
- To protect the site and our customers against fraud and abuse.
- To meet our legal, tax and accounting obligations.
We are not adding any marketing email opt-in system as part of this website, and we do not send promotional email from it.
Service providers
We use trusted service providers to run the business. These may process information on our behalf and under our instructions:
- Stripe — payment processing and payment records.
- Lovable Cloud — website hosting, database, authentication and file storage.
- Email delivery providers — sending order and payment confirmations.
Some providers may store or process information outside Canada, in which case it may be subject to the laws of that country. We choose providers that offer a level of protection appropriate to the information involved.
We do not sell your information
We do not sell, rent or trade personal information. We share it only with the service providers described above, or where required or permitted by law.
How long we keep it
We keep personal information only as long as reasonably necessary for the purposes above — typically for the life of your order plus the period we are required to retain business and tax records under applicable law. After that it is deleted or de-identified.
Safeguards
We use access controls, authenticated administrator accounts, database-level access rules and encrypted connections to protect information. Only people who need access to fulfil orders and run the business have it. No system can be guaranteed perfectly secure, but we take reasonable steps appropriate to the sensitivity of the information.
Access, correction and questions
You can ask us what personal information we hold about you, ask us to correct it, or ask us to delete it where we are not required to keep it. Signed-in customers can also update their saved profile details directly in My Account. Send privacy requests and questions to contactpaparazzikitchen@gmail.com. We may need to verify your identity before acting on a request.
Canadian privacy law
We aim to handle personal information in a manner consistent with the Personal Information Protection and Electronic Documents Act (PIPEDA) and other privacy laws that apply to our business in Canada. This page is a plain-language summary and is not legal advice. If you have an unresolved concern, you may contact the Office of the Privacy Commissioner of Canada.
Changes
We may update this policy from time to time. The “last updated” date at the top shows when it last changed. See also our Terms & Conditions.
